About
Through my own life experiences, I discovered a need for someone to help me along the way. Working with a therapist, I discovered the importance of deep human connection: support, understanding, and validation. I believe that we all have the drive to be understood and seen and that sometimes we need help making that happen. How we relate to one another and ourselves significantly impacts the quality of our lives. Together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behavior to better understand you and what is preventing you from having the life that you want. I believe in respect, acceptance, empowerment, and choice. You determine what happens in therapy and at what speed. My approach is authentic, supportive, and collaborative.
"My goal is to create a space where you can be yourself, explore what is on your mind, and learn to be your authentic self. "
I graduated from St. Edward's University in Austin, Texas with a Masters in Counseling. I am licensed by the state of Texas as Professional Licensed Counselor (LPC). My approach to therapy comes from attachment theory, contemporary psychoanalytic theory, and Internal Family Systems theory. What this means for you: I hope to help you understand yourself and foster change by creating a genuine and attuned relationship with you. My aim is to help you find satisfaction in work, play, and love.
One of the most important elements of any therapy is the connection between the therapist and client. I encourage you to be selective when choosing your therapist. I recommend first a phone call and then an initial consultation session to see if we are a good fit. If we do not feel quite right together, I will try to help you find the therapist who best fits you and your needs.
